The average temperature
is 72 degrees year-round, 60 degrees in January and
82 degrees in July. Precipitation averaging 50
inches per year keeps Tampa Bay lush and green
throughout the year.
Transportation:
Two
airports, Tampa International Airport and the St.
Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport, service
the Tampa Bay area. Tampa International Airport is
considered one the most passenger-friendly airports
in the World. Tampa also boasts the 8th
largest port in the United States and is serviced by
four cruise lines. Amtrak and CSX also service the
Tampa Bay Area.
Housing:
The
Tampa Area is known for its affordable housing,
whether it is family-style homes in suburban
settings, condominiums in downtown Tampa or St. Pete
offering a cosmopolitan lifestyle or a cottage on
the beach.
Attractions:
The
Tampa Area has many famous attractions including:
Busch Gardens, Adventure Island, the Lowery Park
Zoo, the Florida Aquarium,
Salvador Dali Museum, the
St. Petersburg Pier and Ybor City. For the sports
enthusiasts, Tampa offers four professional sports
franchises; the 2002 Super Bowl Champion Tampa Bay
Buccaneers, the 2004 Stanley Cup Champion Tampa Bay
Lightning, the Tampa Bay Devil Rays and the 2002
Arena Bowl Champion Tampa Bay Storm. The Tampa Area
is also home to several Major League Baseball teams
for spring training including the Tampa Bay Devil
Rays, the New York Yankees, the Philadelphia
Phillies and the Toronto Blue Jays. Tampa Bay also
plays host to the PGA Tour’s Chrysler Classic and
the Champion Tour’s Outback Steak House Pro-Am.
